CONNIE MACK HOTLINE INFORMATION

Thursday July 26, 2007

 

1.       Our semi final playoff games are tonight at 6 p.m.:

                       

Estabrook Recreation                   vs.      Four Corners                     at Brookside Rozanski

          Zelma George Recreation     vs.      Roberto Clemente Yankees  at Brookside Talty

 

The winning teams are to report to Estabrook Recreation for the video pictures.  Players will need to wear their jersey and cap.

 

Special Note:  If the games are rained out tonight – then and only then – the games will be played on Sunday July 29th at Gordon Park # 3 field

         

Zelma George Recreation     vs.      Roberto Clemente Yankees  at 1:00 p.m.

Estabrook Recreation                   vs.      Four Corners                     at 3:30 p.m.

 

2.       Our championship game is set for next Tuesday July 31 at Brookside Talty Field at 7:00 p.m.

 

3.       Our All-star game plans are as follows:

 

          WILL ALL COACHES PLEASE CALL YOUR PLAYERS AND LET THEM KNOW THAT THEIR TEAM ALL-STAR PRACTICE IS NEXT THURSDAY AUGUST 2ND AT 6:00 P.M.?

 

 

          The American All-stars will practice at Brookside Rozanski Field.

·         Estabrook Recreation Manager Cliff Hawkins is responsible to bring the equipment for the practice and the games.

·         The Manager of the American All-stars is Cliff Hawkins. 

·         The coaches are Peter Lawson Jones, Alberto Sanchez and Gabe Ramos.

         

The National All-stars will practice on Thursday August 2 at Gordon Park # 3 Field at 6:00 p.m. 

·         Roberto Clemente Yankees Manager is responsible to bring equipment for the practice and the game.

·         The Manager of the National All-stars is Luis Erazo. 

·         The coaches are Dave Adams, Mike Hall and Lee Disterhof.

 

The All star game has been pushed back to Tuesday August 14 at Brookside Park’s Talty Field at 7:00 p.m.

 

·         PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR PLAYERS WEAR THEIR PWN TEAM UNIFORM FOR THE GAME.

·         WE WILL GIVE THEM AN ALL-STAR SHIRT TO WEAR FOR THE GAME AND PRESENT THEM WITH THEIR ALL-STAR AWARD AFTER THE GAME.

Cleveland Baseball Federation Our Mission

 

The Mission of the Cleveland Baseball Federation is to provide the necessary funding so that the City of Cleveland Youth can enjoy playing the game of baseball.  In addition to funding, The Cleveland Baseball Federation shall provide the necessary leadership to ensure that these baseball programs contain components which promote social and educational values that the sport of baseball fosters.

 

It shall provide participants with social awareness programs such as alcohol, tobacco, and drug abuse, teen pregnancy, conflict resolutions, and educational opportunities.  It shall also assist the City of Cleveland Recreation Department in the administration of its entire sandlot program
